Here’s an appetizer with the great taste of a classic Reuben sandwich — serve on snack bread for hungry guests at your next football party. For another larger version of this recipe, click here.
1 16oz. jar Franks® sauerkraut – drained
1 8oz. package cream cheese – cubed
2 cups shredded swiss cheese
1 package (3oz.) deli corned beef – chopped
3 tbs. Thousand Island dressing or creamy horseradish (optional)
1 package snack rye bread
In a 1.5 quart slow cooker, combine ingredients. Cover and cook for two hours or until cheese melts.
Stir to blend. Serve warm on rye breads.
Makes 3-1/2 cups.
